17th November 2008 AOL Broadband, the leading online interactive services provider in the UK, is delighted to announce that Brian Barry has been promoted to the position of Financial Director of Customer Services Finance, Residential for TalkTalk Group. Barry will continue to work in AOL Broadband’s Waterford operation, which provides customer support for AOL customers in the UK. The new role will also cover the UK based Talk Talk business. AOL Broadband was acquired by the Talk Talk Group in 2006 to help the group expand their broadband offering in the UK.
Barry joined AOL Broadband in 2005 as Financial Director for Member Services. Prior to this he held various financial accountant roles in companies such as Bausch and Lomb Ireland Ltd and Luxottica Ireland Ltd. He has provided consultancy and advisory services to a number of multinationals in pharmaceutical and automotive manufacturing, with extensive experience in providing support to clients with regard to management buy-outs, voluntary liquidation and interim financial control. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has an MBA from Waterford Institute of Technology.
In his new role, Barry is responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting and works closely with other board members in delivering AOL Broadband's growth strategy.
