Monday, April 16, 2007: AOL Broadband Waterford has been shortlisted for a number of accolades in the prestigious World Contact Centre Awards, covering the Europe, Middle East and African (EMEA) regions. The awards, which take place in London in July, recognise excellence in the Contact Centre Industry across the globe.
AOL is up for three separate awards: the Innovative Use of Technology award for a cutting edge IT project developed and implemented in the Waterford centre; the Community Spirit award, acknowledging the company’s extensive activities within the local community; and the Best Contact Centre Supervisor award, for which local Waterford woman, Tracy Cullen is nominated.
Speaking following the announcement of the shortlist, Tracy said, “I’m thrilled to have reached the final of my category. Only three individuals across Europe, the Middle East and Africa get through to this level so it’s wonderful to receive that kind of recognition. The fact that we’ve been shortlisted for three awards speaks volumes about the great work which AOL does in the contact centre industry.”
Jackie O’Leary, Executive Director of AOL Broadband, commented, “Being shortlisted for these awards is a significant achievement in its own right. Many companies across 61 countries enter every year so it’s a wonderful reflection of AOL’s high standing within the contact centre industry. Quality is at the heart of what we do, and we’re fortunate to have the best people working with us to ensure we continue to be recognised as leaders within the sector.”
